Supervised Contact

Supervised Contact offers a high level of support and oversight.

 

A trained staff member remains present throughout the session, ensuring safety, recording observations where required, and helping to create a calm, structured environment for children and families.

Supported Contact

Supported Contact provides a lighter level of assistance.

 

Staff are available nearby and offer guidance when needed, helping families build confidence, strengthen communication and enjoy time together with gentle support.

Community Contact

Community Contact allows families to spend time together in the community, such as parks, cafés or local venues.

 

Staff provide oversight at a distance, ensuring safety while encouraging natural, everyday interactions.

Sibling Contact

Sibling Contact supports brothers and sisters who may not live together to maintain and strengthen their relationships.

 

Sessions are tailored to each sibling group, focusing on connection, play and shared experiences.

Outdoor Contact

Outdoor Contact takes place in our peaceful rural surroundings, offering children space to relax, explore and engage in natural play.

 

This option is ideal for families who benefit from a calm, open environment.

Weekend & Evening Contact

We offer flexible scheduling to support families, professionals and local authorities.

 

Weekend and evening sessions provide additional availability for those with work, school or placement commitments.

Farm & Animal Contact

Our therapeutic farm environment allows children to interact gently with animals in a safe and supported way.

 

Animal contact can help reduce anxiety, encourage positive engagement and create a more relaxed atmosphere for Family Time.

Transport & Handovers

We provide safe, reliable transport and handover support for children who need assistance moving between placements, homes or contact sessions.

 

Staff ensure transitions are calm, secure and well‑coordinated.

Out‑of‑Hours Secure Transport

For urgent or time‑sensitive situations, we offer secure transport outside standard operating hours.

 

This service is delivered by trained staff and follows strict safeguarding procedures.

In emergency circumstances, our team can support immediate placement handovers, ensuring children are transferred safely, sensitively and in line with safeguarding requirements.

How to Make a Referral

Firhaven Contact Centre welcomes referrals from parents, professionals and local authorities. We aim to make the process straightforward, secure and responsive, offering several ways to submit the information we need to begin supporting your family.

You can make a referral using our online referral form, by email, over the telephone, or through approved secure email systems. Once received, our team will review your documents, confirm the required level of Family Time, and contact you promptly with next steps.
